Development of a novel thermal coating to protect the casing inside super-hot geothermal wells.
The project is part of Skattefunn, supported by The Research Council of Norway.
IPR in the project have gained patent protection.

EUROSTARS  E! 115090 ProCase

Development of a three-layered composite casing for high temperature geothermal wells, that protects well cement and steel casings against corrosion and high stresses and strains due to thermal expansion effects. Composite consists of corrosion resistant alloy (CRA), casing for CRA, and novel insulation material made from patent protected Ophiolite composites.
